These two have been good friends for many years. In fact, I believe that Christina was Sarah’s very first BFF 
(best friends forever). This is the first time they’ve seen each other since Sarah and her sister Charlotte moved up
Vancouver Island to live in Qualicum Beach. This distance, nearly 150 miles, makes frequent visits difficult.

It’s upsetting to see them so estranged. At first it seems that they’ve forgotten how they used to be together. It’s only
been a few months since they saw each other, but at this age, life changes fast. Eventually they do slip back into their
comfort zones, it just takes a little time. It doesn’t help to have dad hovering with the camera either.

It could also be that they are just naturally growing apart. Without the others influence, they’re bound to grow in different
directions. New friends bring new fads... Littlest Pet Shop, Webkins, Brats, etc.

Getting older also brings maturing interests, such as music, fashion, and yes... boys. These subjects were of little interest
when they were young, so neither one is familiar with the others tastes along those lines.

Their relationship is bound to change, with such physical separation. I think they will always be friends. Who forgets their
first... best friend forever?
