This is my daughter Sarah, at age nine. The family’s on a weekend drive through the outskirts of Victoria, BC.
As we pass through Mount Douglas Park, the sun breaks through the clouds. The lighting is glorious. I stop
the car and tell the kids to “go forth and frolic.” At first a little stunned, Sarah and my older daughter, Charlotte,
then 12, do their best to frolic on cue for Dad.   Mark Heine
