Heres my daughter Sarah, here age 11, watching a sailboat regatta make its way from the Royal Victoria Yacht Club
around to Brotchie Ledge, off the waterfront of Victoria, B.C., Canada. The gap is a shortcut between Trial Island, in
the distance, and the headland were on. Its a treacherous passing, because of the shallow depth and the tide that
boils through. The boats in the distance have chosen to go around. The boats that braved it went through long
ago and are well in the lead. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Mark Heine
