Sarah, my youngest daughter, and her buddy Neamh, here both age 10, are treasure hunting on
the beaches of Discovery Island, just off Oak Bay, Victoria, B.C. It’s July 2009. We’ve made the trip
to in the name of exploration and adventure – an exciting way to spend a hot summer day. It’s the
